The Green Square town centre will showcase world-class urban design with sustainable infrastructure and community facilities including a library, aquatic centre, school, parks, childcare and creative hub. Infrastructure is funded by a value capture scheme and capital allocations.

In August 2019 UTS opened the new 5 Star Green Star certified UTS Central Building containing Australia’s first Plastic-Free Food Court. All takeaway food containers and packaging are compostable, and drinks are sold in recyclable glass, aluminum, and paperboard only.
